Events cancellation policy.

The Autism Society South Carolina(SCAS) reserves the right to refuse/or cancel registrations for trainings or workshops that have been scheduled.  If SCAS refuses a person’s registration, the individual will be offered a refund.

Conference, Training or workshop cancellations by SCAS.

The Autism Society South Carolina (SCAS) reserves the right to cancel an event such as a conference, training or workshop due to low enrollment, inclement weather or any other extenuating circumstances impacting the success of the event.  If SCAS cancels a training or workshop, the individual will have the option of receiving a full refund. However, should circumstances take place that result in the postponement of any of our trainings or workshops, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer their registration to a future conference, training or workshop event date.

Inclement weather policy.

SCAS adheres to the State of South Carolina’s Government schedule for each region that we provide services.  If a conference is cancelled because of the host closing its facility, information will be posted on SCAS’ website and social media outlets.

Registration cancelled by a participant.

The participant will need to contact the SCAS office within forty-eight hours before an event to receive their refund.  This is the deadline to receive a refund for a training or workshop.

Conference refund policy.

SCAS reserves the right to refuse/or cancel registrations for conferences that have been scheduled.  If SCAS refuses a person’s registration, the individual will be offered a refund.

Refund request.

SCAS requires the participant to contact our Executive Administrative Assistant, and initially request a refund by email or telephone.  The person requesting a refund will have to go through the PayPal “Issue a Refund” process.

Strides for Autism Walk cancellation policy.

The Autism Society South Carolina (SCAS) reserves the right to cancel their annual walk due to low enrollment, inclement weather or any other unusual circumstances which would make the event not practical or workable.  If SCAS cancels their Strides for Autism Walk, this event will be rescheduled upon the host park’s availability. However, should circumstances take place whereas a participant is unable to attend the rescheduled walk, a person will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer their registration to the following year’s Strides for Autism Walk and at a different date.

Donations policy.

The Autism Society South Carolina (SCAS) is very grateful for the donations that it receives from generous persons within and outside of South Carolina.  The donations helps SCAS support its mission. The donations that we typically receive are non-refundable. However, if a person, business, organization or corporation has made an error regarding their donation or changes their mind about supporting SCAS, they will need to contact our office via telephone (803-750-6988).  All refund payments will be made in the manner the donations were received. For instance, if it was a credit card, the refund will be credited to that same credit card. If it is by check, we will return the donation via check as well. SCAS will honor a person, business, organization or corporation request for a refund within fifteen days of their donation.

Returning purchases from SCAS’ shop.

If person changes their mind regarding a purchase, made a selection error, or is dissatisfied with their purchase, the credit card holder can cancel the payment or ask the business/organization for a refund.  The merchandise purchased must be returned for a refund within fifteen (15) days. All returned items must be in their original condition and the buyer is responsible for returning the item(s) via shipping or walk-in.  It may take up to one-to-two weeks to process a refund.

All refund requests must be made by an individual, credit card holder, designated person from a business, corporation, family or organization.
