South Carolina Autism Society Hosts Charleston Respite Event for Families Caring for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
The South Carolina Autism Society will host its Charleston Respite Event for families caring for children with special needs. The free event will take place on Friday, February 6 from 6 to 9 pm at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry located at 25 Ann Street, Charleston, SC. Availability is limited to 75 children with autism spectrum disorder, and their siblings.

“We are pleased to offer this three hours of respite in Charleston for family members and caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorders,” said Kim Thomas, president & CEO of South Carolina Autism Society. “Parents will have a chance to go Christmas shopping, run errands, or relax however they choose. Children will be engaged in arts and crafts, and other great imaginative play activities.”
