Strides Team Captains

As a Team Captain you play an important role in the Strides for Autism Festival and raising money for SCAS programs. Each year SCAS gets more than $200,000 in requests for aid for summer camps and other educational programs. We want to help as many children as possible!

Captain’s Role- Create a team fundraising page, recruit team members, help your team fundraise, attend Team Captain Informational meeting, Be your team’s biggest cheerleader.

Things to do:

  • Create a Team Name
  • Create Team Fundraising Page (Registration Opens Soon)
  • Choose which event your team will attend (Midlands April 28, 2017 at Irmo Community Park or Upstate Strides (June 9, 2018 at Heritage Park, Simpsonville, SC) (Note: you can attend both!)
  • Help your team fundraise
  • Keep your team on track (See the Team Captain Timeline)

There is a $15 entry fee for each participant and everyone will get a t-shirt. SCAS has a suggested team fundraising goal of $200. But each participant will be able to set their own fundraising goal. The participant’s $15 entry fee goes toward that $200 goal.

Prizes will be given for largest team, team that raises the most money, individual that raises the most money, best costume!!
