Autism 101 & Volunteer Orientation

Join us for Autism 101 and Volunteer Orientation at the West Columbia SCAS office on August 6th from 6 - 8:30 pm.  Autism 101 focuses on the basics of autism and the etiology. We discuss autism and the factors that contribute to being diagnosed and then we talk about how visual and communication supports can help all students to alieve anxiety, reduce frustration, and also help them to become organized in everything they do. SC Autism Society Provides Autism Awareness for First Responders Training Statewide

West Columbia, SC- March 24, 2015– The SC Autism Society is honored to announce that Autism Society Task Force members, Sergeant Jimmy Donohoe and Captain William Cannata, Jr, are coming to South Carolina in May to present training sessions in three locations around the state: Greenville, Charleston and Columbia.  They are providing ‘Autism Awareness for First Responders’ in collaboration with the SC Fire Academy, Mt.
