MUSC, USC, GHS Research Project

MUSC, USC, and GHS are pleased to announce a new research project. This study will examine biomarkers (genes) in blood and the success of two medications, risperidone and aripiprazole, for treatment of irritability in autism. Compensation is available to study participants.

Your child may be eligible to participate if:

• he/she has been diagnosed with or is suspected of having autism.
• he/she is age 6 to 17.
• he/she has problems with irritability.
• he/she has not taken either aripiprazole (Abilify) or risperidone (Risperdal).
