Hello SCAS friend!

Below is the latest edition of our monthly newsletter.

From The President

Hello SCAS Friends!  I hope this finds you all enjoying the summer!  Just because it's summer though, we at the SC Autism Society keep on working to serve you!

Have you reserved your tickets for our Annual Conference featuring John Elder Robison as Keynote Speaker?  The Conference will take place on Friday, October 7th at the Medallion Conference Center in Columbia.

Mr. Robison was diagnosed with Aspergers in his 40's, and has told his story through many bestselling books. Robison’s books Look Me in the EyeBe Different, and Raising Cubby are the most widely read accounts of life with Asperger’s in the world. His books have been translated into more than fifteen languages, and they are sold in 60+ countries. His newest book—Switched On: A Memoir of Brain Change and Emotional Awakening—was published in March 2016. Robison has also authored or contributed to over 100 autism-related articles.

Click here for more information and to register now.  This is a Conference you won't want to miss!

Of course this summer there is much talk about elections.  We encourage all our friends with autism who are eligible to register to vote!  See the article below about voting in the 2016 General Election this November.

Please contact us if you have questions, need assistance, or would like to get further involved.  Our main number is 803-750-6988, or visit our website at scautism.org.
