News and Happenings

October 2017

From The President

Hello SCAS friend!

Did you feel that chill in the air this morning?  Fall has definitely arrived!

Schools are also finishing up the first quarter of the year.  If your student is struggling, or you have questions about educational goals and accommodations, please contact our Parent School Partnership Program.  Our Parent Mentors can assist you in finding the right solutions for your student.

Did you miss our recent Puberty & Sexuality workshop series?  The workshop is now available online!  Please visit our Puberty, Sexuality & Autism page and complete a short form to verify that you are 18 years of age or older to view the workshop.

Finally, please don't forget our annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive.  For 9 years now, we have helped ensure that autism families in South Carolina in financial need can prepare their own Thanksgiving dinner.

Donations have reached 44% of what is needed to fund this program.  Just $25 will provide a Thanksgiving dinner for one of our families.  Please donate now!  Remember, if your business donates $100 or more, your logo will be included on our website and flyer!  See below for details.

See the article in this newsletter for more information on how you can support the Turkey Drive, or how to apply to be a recipient.

Please contact us if you have questions, need assistance, or would like to get further involved.  Our main number is 803-750-6988, or visit our website at scautism.org.

Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive

Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive

Donations Needed!  44% of need received to date.

In 2008, the South Carolina Autism Society and the LUCAS Network first partnered to provide a Thanksgiving dinner to families affected by autism who are going through financial difficulties.
